Essa Santos, Winner for Miss Teen Philippines 2008
It was 8:30 in the morning of May 3, 2008 when I arrived at the Gaston Park to meet the candidates for the Miss Teen Philippines 2008 Northern Mindanao for their motorcade.
That was a day before the pageant. We started the motorcade at 10 AM.The last stop was at Lim Ket Kai Mall. Aicy asked Essa Santos to accompany her to buy something. On their return, Essa was greeted with white flowers prepared by the co-candidates. Everyone gave flowers and greeted her happy birthday.When everyone is finished, Essa expressed her gratitude. She said that it was her most memorable birthday. Though her parents were not with her, she considers the candidates and the production staff as part of her family. There were no long cotillion rehearsals, no 18 flowers, no 18 candles, no first dance but the experience is worth remembering for a lifetime.
On the pageant day, Essa was 18 years and 1 day old. God gave her a late birthday present. It was the title and the crown.
Essa Santos won as one of the fours winners for Miss Teen Philippines 2008 Northern Mindanao.
